Unstable Error & Image Alignment Problems

The “Camera Unstable” error and problems with the alignment of images (when viewed in preview mode in the capture app) are usually caused by one of the following:

  1. The camera has taken a spill, and, as a result, something is not aligned correctly within the camera. It can be a bent frame, or it can be that one of the components has become dislodged or shifted out of place.
  2. The other likely scenario is that something in the clutch/drive assembly has gotten out of alignment or has started to loosen up over time.

Repair with parts needed. In some cases, the internal frame of the camera or the clutch assembly will need to be replaced. In this case, the repair cost will depend on precisely what needs to be done - $250 to $350 / £230 to £350 + Shipping.
